"There is still more.."

Joshua 13:1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. .. vs 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel:.

God has more in store for you and me; though a times there could be some challenges, If you will remain obedient to God and believe that He is a Faithful Promise Keeper, you will inherit whatever He has promised. There is still more “Land” to be possessed. Whatever the challenge, “God will drive them out before you.”

Through the story of Caleb, Joshua and the other ten spies, I’ve come to realize that there are three levels of living namely, See it, Say it & Seize it

The See it level is Faith's opportunity.
We can al b looking from the same spot & not see the same thing.
When Moses send out twelve spies to explore the land, (Num 13) ..Caleb and Joshua brought back a good report of the land but, because the other 10 spies brought back a bad report, the people did not want to enter the promised land. As a result, the Israelites stayed another 37 years in the desert before entering the Promised Land.
The twelve spies were all looking from the same spot, but they all saw different things. Num 13:6 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.27They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28But the people who live there are powerful and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan."
30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are.

The Say it level is the Faith's world. This is where you verbally commit yourself to what has gripped your vision; Caleb saw a land flowing with milk and honey. He saw it, believed it and he confessed the possibility of taking possession of the land

The Seize it level-this is where faith becomes Action, it’s mo than verbiage  and more than vision. It's the Action stage.
Forty five years later, in Joshua 14: 6 “Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb.. said unto Joshua, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. 7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadeshbarnea to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. 8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God...
10 And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this Word.. And now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; .. if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

Don't expect a whole crowd of people to gather around you, waving banners and patting you on the back sometime you've to step out alone just like Caleb and Joshua did! They had a different spirit.

Do you want to take possession of the vast land yet to be possessed? You got to have a different spirit. Be obedient to God. Have Faith in the Promise Keeper. Don’t let any Physical, Emotional, Spiritual or whatever kind of obstacle hinder you from your destiny.
With love

The Greatest Blessing in Life

What is the greatest Blessing in life??

Psalm 5:12 says, "Surely, Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield."

Let's take a journey.

In the bible, Blessing is depicted as a mark of God’s relationship with a person or nation.  It is a sign of God’s grace upon them.

The LORD God Almighty is the SOURCE. True blessings come from the LORD. Actually, Proverbs 10:22 states that the Blessings of the Lord makes one rich and adds no sorrow with it.

Who is Blessed?

The GREATEST and MOST Important blessing in this life is to be CHOSEN by God to be His people. Psalm 65:4 Blessed are those You choose and bring near to live in Your courts! We are filled with the good things of Your house, of Your holy temple.
John 15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to
Deut 7:7-8 The LORD chose you not because in any way you deserved it, but simply because He LOVED you.
This blessing is a great honor and privilege.

To be Blessed by the LORD is more than just wealth.

Psalm 33:12, Blessed is the nation or person whose God is the LORD, the people He CHOSE for His inheritance. This Great Blessing knows no sorrow.

I have been born again for more than 12years now, the Spiritual Journey hasn't been without twists and turns, ups and downs but I have no regrets. It is the greatest miracle I've ever had. To be Chosen by God, not because I deserved or or I was better... Salvation is a mark of God's Grace upon me, such a great Blessing indeed.

This Gift of salvation comes with other benefits as Psalm 5:12a states that he LORD blesses the righteous.
The kind of blessing is not specified here because God's blessings are unlimited.
here are some of the other benefits that come with the Blessing of Salvation:

  • Holy Spirit Joel 2:28
  • Favor Ps 5:12b
  • Peace Ps 29:11
  • Health and Healing Jer 33:6
  • Forgiveness and Cleansing of Sin and Restoration Ez 36:25-26
  • And much more...
Stay Blessed

YOU ARE DIVINELY CHOSEN AND APPOINTED TO BEAR FRUIT THAT LAST.

Reading John 15:1-17 we get introduced to the GARDENER, the VINE and the BRANCHES.
Vs 16 says, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last.”
Jesus is the VINE and His Father is the Gardener and we His disciples are the Branches.
The Branch must stay connected to the Vine always and at all times. Vs 5 says, “I am the VINE; you are the BRANCHES. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear MUCH FRUIT; apart from Me you can do Nothing.
If you want to be fruitful in your life, the first and most important thing is that you MUST be CONNECTED to the Vine (Jesus).
Vs 2 says, the Gardener (God the Father) CUTS OFF every branch in the Vine that bears no fruit. It is evident; God is not in the business of keeping us in the VINE if we are not willing and ready to be fruitful.  You are not a statistic in the kingdom of God, God requires that you bear fruit and not just fruit but good fruit that will last. God has already given you the potential to be fruitful. He also PRUNES the Branch that does not bear fruit.
What is pruning and what are the reasons for pruning?
Pruning is a horticultural practice involving the selective removal of parts of a plant, such as branches, buds, or roots. Reasons to prune plants include deadwood removal, shaping (by controlling or directing growth), improving or maintaining health, reducing risk from falling branches, preparing nursery specimens for transplanting, and both harvesting and increasing the yield or quality of flowers and fruits.
The practice entails targeted removal of diseased, damaged, dead, non-productive, structurally unsound, or otherwise unwanted tissue from crop and landscape plants.
Note from the above definition, the pruning process is SELECTIVE and also TARGETED. I believe the process of pruning in our lives is purposeful. The Gardener (our Father) is very careful and intricate when cutting the branches. God is the perfect Pruner who has watched us grow, ever so patient clipping, cutting and forming us as He desires. He has watched us grow and He perfectly knows all the unsafe, unhealthy and unfruitful characteristics in our lives. He desires to prune those habits, characters, attitudes and perceptions that hinder us from growing and being fruitful according to His will.
While the process of pruning is meant to be fruitful, it is not without pain. James 1:1-4 says, count it PURE JOY whenever we face TRIALS of MANY KINDS, because you know that the testing of your FAITH develops PERSEVERANCE. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be MATURE and COMPLETE, not lacking anything. Spiritual pruning will produce the following characteristics: patience, endurance, steadfastness, refinement as unto silver and gold Mal 3:3, perseverance, character, experience and hope- Rom 5:3-4 also, it displays the faithfulness on God
Finally, John 15:7-8 says, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ASK whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” That’s the promise of the Father.
It is for His GLORY that you bear fruit vs 8. Your responsibility is:
1.      Constantly stay connected to the VINE
2.      Allow God to prune you.
3.      Maintain  close relationship with God through prayer, Worship, Praise and Word
4.      Be sure to obey His commands- Loving one another.

Be fruitful for God’s glory.

Appreciating my Pastors

  • "And now, friends, we ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience. Overwhelm them with appreciation and love.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)

The Clergy are men & women like other folk. They are imperfect, have shortcomings, get cranky, and are not always rock solid 24 hours a day. They get weary from wearing so many hats: preparing sermons, counseling, attending board meetings, preparing for Weekly and Sunday services, going on visitations, spending time with the family, making major decisions for family and ministry issues, etc.

The best we can do to support these men and women of God is to:
  • Be openly responsive
  • Submit to the leadership of our pastors
  • Treat them with proper respect
  • Pray, pray, pray for our pastors
  • Support them financially
  • Refrain from bad-mouthing, gossiping, and criticism

  • Today I take this opportunity to salute, respect and appreciate all the men and women who have sacrificially given themselves to serve the LORD with diligence.

Particularly, i want to applaud my PASTORS/MENTORS...

Bishop Mwatha- A friend of all and a man of wisdom.

Rev Irungu- i just love the way you preach without mincing words, you are a blessing.

Rev Alfred Nyaoro- I didn't know I had the Ministry of Teaching until you prophesied it over me in one kesha sitawahi sahahu- u challenged me to take up the ministry and now, this far i have come, I JUST LOVE and ENJOY Children Ministry. You inspired me Thank you. Mom Maria, you are more than a friend- I luv you sana-unajua vile umekuwa ukinibariki-the encouragements)

Rev G, you also added so much value in my life- The first time, you saw Leadership skills in me and appointed me Leader in Tupos class and later on P57 Class and Youth service committee, You laid hands on me (can't forget the sermon- from 1 Tim 1:6- For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands)

Pastor Guchu, am proud to have you, thanks for always checking up on me and praying for me. Umekuwa wa baraka sana ( Just remembering the days when i was in high school and i used to come for the Worship team Keshaz-Kweli tumetoka mbali)

Pastor Kogi, I will forever be grateful- thank you for allowing God to use you- High School ministry has been a real joy since 2007- My first opportunity you gave me to minister at PEFA WEST DISTRICT Youth Convention at Ngando PEFA and at Kyieni.

Pastor Collins, i still remember the humble beginnings ( going to Dr. Aggrey,Muslim, Pumwani, St Brigits, Child survival primary schools and St Johns seeking for opportunities to preach in their PPI sessions- that zeal was really an inspiration. You gave me the courage and inspired the passion in me)

My Colleagues in Sunday school Ministry- You guyz ROCK. I luv, Respect and Appreciate you for your endless sacrifice and support in the ministry

Lastly and not least, all the members of Commissioners For Christ Ministry- Karumba'z, Mukui'z, Job'z the least is endless- You have all been such a blessing in my life.

I Humbly Salute and Appreciate these people for the sacrificial service for our LORD Jesus Christ.

I may not have Gold and Silver to give you all but i want you to know I LUV, RESPECT and APPRECIATE YOU.

    Luv

Praying, Resting, Waiting Patiently And Trusting.

These are words that tell a story. As we wait for God to lead us, He responds, “Just seek My glory.”
Ever made a desperate prayer hoping that God would respond there and then? How did it go? Did He respond pap or did you have to wait for hour(s), day(s), week(s), month(s) or even year(s)?
Waiting is not always easy, but sometimes God wants us to stay right where He has put us. God will order your step and will direct your steps just in due time Psalm 37:23.
Yesterday (7th May 2012) morning I was really challenged and I thank God He spoke to me in my circumstance. As usual, was coming to work, I left my house at around 7:10am and by 7:15am I was in stage waiting for a mat. Sadly, the matatus were just passing and none was stopping to collect any passengers. I became somewhat impatient and restless. I didn’t want to be late for work.
At around 7:45am the 1st matatu stoped and I hustled my way in. The last guy entered and the Makanga checked  and said he wasn’t going to carry any excess person so he demanded I alight yet I wasn’t the last person to enter the mat in fact, I was the first. I tried to argue and told him, he should tell the last person who entered the mat to alight, but he insisted I get out. I refused to get out and the Makanga was so infuriated and was shouting at me, “Madam, get out now!” Humbly I alighted but I was so mad, felt like screaming at him considering that I was already late.
At around 7:52am another mat came but there were so many people, everyone was hustling to make their way in, I felt helpless because I couldn’t hustle like every other person, so I waited impatiently to get in the mat.
Finally, I managed to go in and got a seat and by 8:10am I was in the office. Thank God the mat didn’t make any stopovers.
    Now, what’s my point?
Anytime we are desperately praying and waiting for something, we tend to become quite restless and impatient. We even fret and complain when those who come after us end up being served before we are served. Worst, a time we even try to push things our way.
When we are restless and impatient, we can easily miss out on God because even our Trust/Faith in Him seem to be senseless.
Now picture this, Numbers 9:15 On the day the tabernacle, the tent of the covenant law, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire. 16 That is how it continued to be; 17 Whenever the cloud lifted from above the tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped. 18 At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp. 19 When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order and did not set out. 20 Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the Lord’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out. 21 Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out. 22 Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out. 23 At the Lord’s command they encamped, and at the Lord’s command they set out. They obeyed the Lord’s order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
“...whenever the cloud lifted from the tent, the Israelites set out. Whenever the cloud settled over the tabernacle, they encamped.”
Sometimes, the cloud settle from evening to morning, other times just for a day(s), week(s), month(s), year(s)...
    KEY POINTS
Know your seasons, there is a season to Rest and enjoy the goodness of the LORD, there is also a time to patiently Wait as we Trust God to work things out for us. There are times to move out and times to encamp. Whatever the case:-
Pray without ceasing, even when you don’t feel like it. Remember the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Jer 33: 3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know
Secondly, even as you pray Rest in His blessed assurance. Stand still and know that He is God. 2 Chro 20:17 “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged..., the Lord will be with you.”
Thirdly, Wait patiently. Remember delay is not denial the Psalmist wrote, “Psalm 40: 1 I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.
Lastly Trust in Him, the 4th verse of Psalm 40 says, “Blessed is the one who Trusts in the LORD.”
    Conclusion.
Dear friend, no matter what circumstances you may be in; it may be an emergency according to you but God is never too early nor is He late. In His time, He makes all things beautiful.
    Pray, Rest, Wait and Trust!
    With Luv,

BLESSED IS THE (WO)MAN WHO FEARS THE LORD

To fear the LORD is to have a loving reverence for God that includes submission to His Lordship and to the commands of His word. God is our King (Mal 1:4), but even as we stand in awe of Him we can rejoice

Prov 1:7 says,"The fear of the LORD is the begining of knowledge.."

Psalm 112 Blessed is the (wo)man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in His commands...
The following are some of the blessing the person who fears the LORD will enjoy:

    • His children will be mighty (persons of influence&reputation) in the land
    • His generation will be blessed
    • Wealth and riches are in His house
    • In darkness light dawns for him
    • Good (well-being & prosperity) will come to him
    • He will never be shaken; he will be remembered forever (an enduring memorial of honor)
    • He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD
    • His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will triumph on his foes.
    • His horn will be lifted high in honor

Psalm 128:1 Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways.

Psalm 34:9 Fear the LORD you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.

Prov 14:26 He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. vs 27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Prov 10:27 The fear of the LORD adds length to life.

It's evident that there are blessing that we'll only enjoy if we fear God.

Fear God, it shall be well with you.

    Regards& lots of luv
