Day 11- Resolve to Inquire of the Lord

Dear child of the Most High God,

Is there a vast army come against you? Has it caused you any alarm? What have you resolved to?

There are times I have been faced with battles that are "too urgent", a time have been tempted to hit back ASAP.... Sometimes have even forgotten to INQUIRE of the Lord... I don't know how many can identify with me but I must say every time I have gone on a battle without enquiring of the Lord I've lost it. I have come to learn the key to victory in life lies in daily communion with God.

Jeremiah 29:12-14 says, "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.."

Jehoshaphat was in such a state, 2 Chronicles 20vs 1 "... the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to wage war against Jehoshaphat. 2 Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you... It is already in Hazezon Tamar” 3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. 4 The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek Him...."

#1# Your Help comes from the Lord, seek Him and He will grant you victory. The battle belong to Him.

Vs. 20 says, the people of Judah left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful.”

#2# Have FAITH

Vs 21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendour of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.” vs. 22 As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

#3# PRAISE God even in the Storm

vs. 24 When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25 So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. 26 On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berakah, where they praised the Lord... 27 Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the Lord had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies28 They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the Lord with harps and lyres and trumpets.
29 The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. 30 And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.

#4# God has given you REST on every side... PRAISE the LORD Joyfully.

I resolve no matter what happens in my life, I will INQUIRE of the LORD. I will SEEK HELP from Him.

With Love

Day 10 Journey on Faith- "All things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27)

Dear Friend,

How many times have you ever sought the Lord for something and when the Lord spoke you were in doubt?

What happened?

Luke 1:
The Bible says that Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in the sight of God yet they were childless.
They sought the Lord about this issue and one day when Zechariah was on duty serving the Lord, an angel of the Lord announced vs 13“Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord.."

When Zechariah's prayer for a son was finally answered, announced in a personal visit by an angel, Zechariah still doubted God's word. vs 18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”

How many times have we doubted God?

Goodnews
God can work in our life in spite of any circumstance. Things may look hopeless, but stand on God's word "All things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27, NIV)
If He said He will heal your diseases and sickness, he will do it.
If He said He will be with you in the storm, be still and Know that He is God.
If He said He will restore your family, wait patiently He will heal and restore the broken relationships.
If He said He will give you a spouse, every perfect gift comes from Him, Wait in Him He will do it
If He said He will bless the work of your hands as you honor him with your wealth, the He will fill your barns to overflowing and your vats will brim over.
If He said He will do it... trust Him, He is faithful and able to do it....

Do NOT DOUBT
God is able to do what He said He will do, don't give on Him.
I say WAIT, WAIT in the Lord.

The Battle is the Lord's

Day 7.. Journey on Faith.
1 Samuel 17:38-51 David and Goliath..

Indeed it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; The battle is the Lord's. The whole assembly will know that you have a God.

Have FAITH and CONFIDENCE in God, He will fight your Battles.

vs 45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

If you feel buffeted right left and center, don't loose Hope. God is fighting your battles. He has fought for me before, even now and in the days to come I know He will fight for me. He has done it for me, He can and will do it for you.

Day 6 Journey on Faith

Journey on Faith

Joshua 3:1-17 Crossing Jordan Experience...
vs 3-4"When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go..."

1. The Ark of Covenant is a symbol of God's presence. To triumph in this life, we need the Presence of God to guide us.

2. No one has an encounter with God's presence and remains in the same position... there is a shifting.

3. Consecrate yourselves- the Act of Consecration point to the principle that God will not Act powerfully in our behalf if we are not inwardly clean and aligned to His will. Before we ask God to perform Signs and wonders in our midst, we must make sure our hearts are pure and desires guided by His Holy Spirit.

4. The waters of Jordan stood in a heap...they walked on a dry ground..This miracle provided clear evidence that the living God was among His people and it strengthened their faith so they could face the challenge of possessing the promised land.

Finally, in this Journey of Faith.. essentials:
- God's Presence
- Consecration
- Faith
- Obedience
