SEE BEYOND YOUR OBSTACLES

Gen 15:1 the word of the LORD has come to you today saying, “do not be afraid, My child. I Am your shield and your great reward.”
So many times, we are cumbered with a load of anxiety, fear and discouragements. We have challenges that overwhelm us and leave us discouraged. Nevertheless, the LORD says, “Do not be afraid…”
God had just promised to make Abram into a great nation Gen 12:2-3, yet in human eyes, there was no hope. Sarai , Abram’s wife was barren and besides they were advanced in age.
The LORD took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up to the heavens and count the stars- if indeed you can be able to count them. So shall your offspring be.”
Dear friend, there could be barren situations in your life. God may have said, “I will make you to a great nation, I will bless you…” but it seems that it has taken too long or may be there seems to be no hope. Do not be afraid. Look up to the heavens and see beyond your obstacles. Keep your faith fixed on Him who has said will bless you. Count Him faithful to accomplish what He has promised.
Take off your focus from the surrounding obstacles, look up and see beyond the obstacles.
Abram believed God and it was credited to Him as righteousness. Gen 15:6- you cannot believe God faithfully if your focus is on your obstacles. Until you look up.
Gen 13:14-18 after Lot and Abram had separated; seemingly, Lot had taken the best of the land, the well-watered plains.
Sometime, we may feel that the best has already been taken up and feel hopeless but the LORD says, “Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land you will see I will give it to you and your offspring forever.”
Child of God, you have a responsibility- ‘Look beyond the limits, lift up your eyes from where you are- from your present situation, from your financial constraints, from your broken relationships, from your obstacles/challenges, from your failures, from your hopelessness, from your discouragements, from your past. Look up to your Redeemer, your Maker, and your Rewarder and believe in Him. Believe that what He has said He will do He is able to do it. Count Him faithful.
Look beyond your limits and believe!

Luv
